THE PROCESS
Ideas - Design - Consultation - Tweaks - Make - Ship - Wear

My ideas and designs often start from single point of inspiration. It could be a dress, a hairstyle, a pre-loved piece of jewellery or even a combination of colours.

From this point I need to decide what kind of accessory I'm making like a comb or a tiara.

I rarely draw out my plans as they have a tendency to change as I craft. More often I will arrange pieces next to each and take pictures for comparison.
This process allows me to create hair accessories that will be uniquely yours. I can cater to different hairstyles and outfits. I can also incorporate pieces of personal costume jewellery giving forgotten items new life or honouring the memory of a loved one.

MATERIALS
Many of my centre piece materials are reclaimed items that I either purchase from charity organisations or are donated to me. This has seen me lean into a more ecological craft whereby I source many of my materials second hand and preloved.
Because of this and being self taught, I don't work with precious stones or metals. Most of my base materials are primarily made from plated copper that I source from a range of wholesale outlets.
These means of sourcing materials helps to bring the finished piece into a more affordable range.
